The Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners is a seven-person governing body appointed by the Mayor of Chicago. The Board consists of Chicago residents who are leaders in their community and professions. Monthly public meetings are held at various Park District locations where the public is welcome to attend and participate by speaking on issues important to them. The Park District Board of Commissioners reviews and approves and oversees various Park District spending, projects, acquisitions, and community impact.

Next Meeting
The regular December Meeting of the Board of Commissioners is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 9:00 am at the Chicago Park District Administration Building, 4830 South Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60609.
Advance registration is required to speak at the meeting.
