Junior Chamber Ensemble Plays Jazz Composers at Marquette

Join the Marquette Park Music Program for a free concert! Jazz composers—musicians who primarily play jazz who write pieces for themselves and their friends to perform—represent a major component in the ecosystem of this music. Learning their work (Kenny Burrell, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, et. Al) is essential in developing a broad base of knowledge, especially for our newest performers. This program will follow the Marquette Park Junior Quintet in a program performing the Miles Davis album “Kind of Blue”.
